    I guess I’m not a noodle anymore…

    Here are some comparisons from what I looked  like a little over two years ago and how I look today. In the bottom photos I was eating 600 calories a day, trying to recover. Now, I eat almost 3x that and look at me now! I weigh 15 pounds more than I did then, but I love my body now and I’m so proud of myself for coming this far. My competition is such a gift to me, and I can’t wait to see more and more progress in this journey. Recovery was 100% worth it.

    Well, apparently I don’t start my “prep prep” until 14 weeks out now.

    I guess I’m ahead of the game and my body transitions fast, so my coach is starting me on the final prep the first week of August. That’s great news, but I have the itch to get serious now… :( It will all be worth it in the end. I don’t care how far out I am, I going to give it 100%. I don’t want any regrets when I step on stage. That ProCard is mine!

    Mid week Comp Prep check in: Yesterday was painful…

    Hey guys so, I just wanted to take the time to touch on a few things with Comp Prep. First, it is not always as glamorous as most people would imagine.. As you know, I get up at every morning at 5 and am at the gym at 5:15 to do an hour of cardio and abs. I did this yesterday and felt fine! I had meals 1, 2 and 3 and also felt fine. Is was after eating three mini cucumbers (sliced up) as a snack, that I literally was in the most excruciating pain!!!

    Now I work a full time job and this was around 1:30-2pm and I had to work till 5:30. I literally was dying!!! Oh my god! The pain in my stomach was so sharp, and my stomach was like rock solid to the touch. It wasn’t like a “bathroom thing” either. Like, I still don’t know what was going on. I started like sweating and getting pale and was breathing like a woman in labor. Let me just say, it wasn’t pretty.. Anyways, I made it to 5:15 and then had to go home because I couldn’t take it anymore. I tried calling Corey over and over again because I was thinking it might be an ER type issue. No answer… ends up he was cooking chicken for food prep.. lol. Anyways, I get home and just cry and cry and cry. After a while the pain became more tolerable and I decided to try having oatmeal, which helped. 

    I’m wondering if it’s another ulcer. I had one in October from my Babesia and Lyme meds, but I’m not sure. I got into drinking coffee again (fml) I get crazy addicted for some weird reason. I know I have to stop drinking it cold turkey, but 5am cardio can be brutal. Moral of the story is, things like this happen and I couldn’t go to the gym last night because I could barely move. Today, I missed a.m cardio because my stomach is iffy, I’m definitely going to lift and do cardio tonight. 

    I love comp prep, it’s exciting and pushes your limits. But, it can be hard on the body. I hated not being able to lift yesterday, now I’m behind a day. But you have to listen to your body and trust yourself if things go wrong. I’ll let you know if I ever figure out what happened to my stomach, but as of right now I’m nervous that it will happen again.

    Being pale when you are into any type of #bodybuilding can be a pain in the a$$! My back has grown so much and you can see A LOT of definition in person. Oh well, I guess when I’m awkwardly over tan on stage it won’t matter lol. I’ll keep pushing forward!

    You guys totally knew and I had no idea haha. Niceee! He just says to me, it looks like your blog got a bit more popular today, and I’m like what? Haha God I love him.

    Well it’s 6:30 here and I’ve already been to the gym for an hour of cardio and abs and even had my first cup of coffee! Comp Prep is serious guys, especially when you work a 8:30-5:30 job.

    But anyways, sorry for the lack of posts this weekend. It was busy and full of great family time. I made a check in video for this week that I will post tonight. Regular posts will resume today!
